Abstract

Tema ovog završnog rada inspirirana je kultnim, francuskim filmskim djelom ''Peti
element'' u kojem je disciplina kostimografije obogaćena atraktivnim dizajnom i
futurističkom vizijom svjetski poznatog dizajnera Jean Paul Gaultiera. Prema uzoru
na Gaultierovo modno stvaralaštvo u ovom je radu oblikovana vlastita kolekcija
odjeće s elementima preuzetih iz futurizma. Istraživački dio rada pobliže opisuje
životni put i impresivnu karijeru spomenutog francuskog, modnog dizajnera. Nadalje,
približit ćemo se i samoj filmskoj tematici, uz kratku analizu karakterističnih kostima.
U praktičnom dijelu kroz izradu i opis razvoja skica, razradom mape te konstrukcijom
i modeliranjem odabranog modela iz kolekcija, prikazana je kolekcija ženske odjeće
inspirirana navedenom filmskom kostimografijom.

Abstract (english)

The theme of this final paper is inspired by the iconic, French movie "The Fifth
Element" in which the costume discipline is enriched by the attractive design and
futuristic vision of world's famous designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Based on Gaultier's
fashion creations, my own collection of clothes with elements taken from futurism has
been formed. The research section describes the life path and the impressive career
of the aforementioned French, fashion designer. Further on, we will get closer to the
movie content itself, with short analysis of characteristic costumes. Through the
making and description of sketch development, the elaboration of the map, the
construction and modeling of the chosen model from the collection, a collection of
women's clothing inspired by the aforementioned movie costume design will be
presented.
