Abstract

U ovome je radu istražena mogućnost obezbojavanja modelne otpadne vode iz
procesa bojadisanja tekstilnih materijala reaktivnim bojilom Everzol Black B
primjenom koagulacije/flokulacije. Izbor vrste i odgovarajuće količine koagulanta i
flokulanta za svaku vrstu otpadne vode može se provesti samo temeljem
eksperimentalnih rezultata. JAR testom su određene optimalne koncentracije
aluminijeva sulfata, koagulanta Aquaflock 39, flokulanta Aquaflock 8232L i
dekoloranta Aquaflock C-3 za obezbojavanje modelne otpadne vode. Svaka od
navedenih kemikalija ispitana je zasebnou kontaktu s modelnom otpadnom vodom ali
i u njihovoj međusobnoj kombinaciji. Učinkovitost procesa koagulacije/flokulacije na
obezbojavanje određena je spektrofotometrijskim praćenjem smanjenja apsorbancije
nakon provedene obrade. Ispitan je i učinak pH vrijednosti otopine na nastajanje
flokula. Na osnovu dobivenh rezultata, zaključuje se da je postupak koagulacije i
flokulacije relativno učinkovit u uklanjanju bojila Reactive Black 5 iz otpadnih voda
kao i da se postupak učinkovitiji u kiselom mediju.

Abstract (english)

This work examined possibility of decolorizing model wastewaters from process of
dyeing textile materials with reactive dye Everzol Black B by application of
coagulation/floculation method. Type, selection and appropriate quantity of coagulant
and floculant for wastewater treatment can be based on the experimental results.
Optimal concentration of aluminum sulphate, coagulant Aquaflock 39, floculant
Aquaflock 8232L and decolorant Aquaflock C-3 for decolorization of model waste
water are tested by JAR test. In order to optimize the best results, each of the listed
chemicals are tested individually and their mutual combination in contact with model
wastewater. Effectiveness of process coagulation/floculation on decolorization is
determined by spectrophotometric monitoring of reducing apsorbance after JAR test
processing. The impact of pH value on coagulation/floculation process is also
examined.
Based on the obtained results, it is concluded that the coagulation and flocculation
process is relatively effective for removing Reactive Black 5 dye from wastewater as
well as that the process is more efficient in acidic medium.
