Abstract

U ovom radu opisana je povijest korzeta kroz kronološki prikaz njegovog mijenjanja te utjecaja koji on ima na modu i ideale ljepote danas. Teorijski dio rada obuhvaća povijesni aspekt korzeta, zatim korzet u suvremenoj modi te percepciju tijela u suvremenom svijetu. Navedeni su i dizajneri koji koriste korzet kao inspiraciju za modnu kolekciju. Eksperimentalni dio rada sastoji se od računalnog dizajniranja autorske kolekcije korzeta inspirirane poviješću korzeta karakterističnih za viktorijansko doba, te tehnike konstruiranja i modeliranja u svrhu izrade jednog od prikazanih šest modela.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis, corsetry will be described through chronological description of its transformation and the influence it has had on fashion and beauty ideals today. The thesis consists out of two parts. First, theoretical part includes the historical aspect of corsetry, corset in contemporary fashion and the perception of body throughout history. Also, the designers that used corsets as an inspiration for their collections are mentioned in the thesis. Second, experimental part shows the development of mini collection inspired by corsets and the history around it, among with the clothing construction techniques and modelling one out of six shown models.
