Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad analizira utjecaj velikih modnih ikona prošlosti (na primjerima Marije Antoanete, Jackie Kennedy i princeze Diane) na tadašnje modne trendove te se taj utjecaj promatra kroz prizmu današnjeg vremena koje je obilježeno porastom važnosti medija i društvenih mreža. Uloga nekadašnjih modnih ikona uspoređena je s tzv. influencerima, osobama koje svojom aktivnošću na modernim društvenim mrežama utječu na stil i stavove većeg broja ljudi. Naglašava se utjecaj određene društveno-povijesne situacije na modne promjene i obratno, a sve s ciljem pronalaska veze između društvenog statusa i modnog utjecaja te određivanja koliku ulogu čovjek ima kao promotor mode, a u kojoj je mjeri zapravo moda ta koja postavlja pravila. Također, u sklopu diplomskog rada dizajnirana je i izrađena ženska modna kolekcija inspirirana modnim ikonama prošlosti.

Abstract (english)

This master thesis analyzes the influence of the great fashion icons of the past (e.g. Mary Antoinette, Jackie Kennedy, and Princess Diane) on the fashion trends of the time and this influence is observed through the prism of the present time marked by the growing importance of media and social networks. The role of former fashion icons in the present is compared to the so-called influencers, individuals who, by their activity on modern social networks, affect the style and attitudes of a large number of people. The influence of certain socio-historical situations on fashion trends and vice versa is emphasized, all with the aim of finding a connection between social status and fashion influence and determining what role a person has as a promotor of the fashion and to what extent the fashion itself sets the rules. Moreover, a women's clothing collection inspired by fashion icons of the past is designed and made, as part of this master thesis.
