Abstract

U ovom završnom radu istražen je povijesni pregled razvoja ženskih haljina, a u
eksperimentalnom dijelu izrađena je vlastita kolekcija svečanih haljina kroz likovni prikaz te
razvoj kroja postupcima modeliranja. Naglasak je na ženskoj odjeći kao bitnom faktoru
samoizražavanja, koja se mijenjala kroz povijest odražavajući vrijednosti društva te položaj
pojedinca u društvu. Kroz ovaj rad istražit će se razvoj ženske svečane haljine kroz različita
povijesna razdoblja, njezin značaj za ženu i njezino izražavanje. Neke od značajnih svečanih
haljina jesu haljine ''empire'' stila koje su slobodno padale niz tijelo, do haljina koje su
zaživjele za vrijeme vlasti Bourbonca Karla V. koje su bile izražaj ekstravagantnog modnog
ukusa i početka novog materijalističkog razdoblja, poput haljina s korzetom koje su naglasak
stavljale na bokove, ali istovremeno su imale znatan utjecaj na zdravlje žene koje je bilo
narušeno. U eksperimentalnom dijelu, naglasak je stavljen na razvoj kroja za tri ženske
haljine, koje čine kolekciju, izrađene postupcima modeliranja osnovnog kroja.

Abstract (english)

This final piece is divided into two parts – historical overview of women's dresses and
practical part which consists of developing fashion collection of gowns and it's basic cut
through the process of cut modeling.First part of the final piece puts emphasis on women's
clothing as an important factor of self expression. Women's clothing has changed so much
over the years and was considered to be a reflection of social values and women's role in the
society, for example- ''empire'' style gowns inspired by the antique style, very flowy, not
restraining to the body; Karl V. inspired gowns with the corset which are a starting point of an
extravagant fashion taste and materialistic era- corset dresses emphasised women's hips, but
were causing concerning health issuses. With the increasing significance of women in society
throughout the years, the gown has become a crucial part in putting emphasis on a woman's
body without constraining it- corset discarding, flowy gowns, shorter gowns, richer color
palletts.Second part of this final piece, the practical part, consists of developing a fashion
collection and cuts for three women's gowns through cut modeling.
