Abstract

Tema ovog rada je fetišizam kroz modu i odijevanje, odnosno sama pojava fetiša kroz cijelu povijest mode i odijevanja pa sve do danas. Budući da je fetiši termin koji ima dosta dugačku povijest, a njegova značenja mogu biti religijska, antropološka, ponajprije ga vežemo uz nešto seksualno. Teško je saznati pravu povijest i razlog pojave fetiša kroz modu i odijevanje, ali svakako je danas prisutan sve više u modnom dizajnu, a povezan je s isticanjem tijela ili određenog dijela tijela zbog obožavanja istog. Kroz vlastite ću ilustracije prikazati osobno viđenje raznih spektara fetišizma kroz ideje, modu, dizajn. Iako fetiš u modi uglavnom vežemo za žene i homoseksualce, danas je priča sasvim drugačija, što će također biti vidljivo kroz moje ilustracije. Mnogi dizajneri smatraju fetiš trajnom inspiracijom koja nikako ne može dosaditi, zato još od '70-ih na modnim pistama možemo pratiti dizajnere poput Vivienne Westwood ili Thierry Mugler, koji u svojim kolekcijama besramno koriste fetiš kao inspiraciju stvarajući taj provokativni efekt u društvu.

Abstract (english)

The theme of this thesis is fetishism through fashion and clothing, and its' appearance throughout the history of fashion and clothing to date. Since a fetish is a term that has a long history and its meaning can be religious, anthropological, we primarily associate it with something sexual. It is difficult to find out the true history and the reason of the appearance of the fetishism through fashion, but it is certainly more and more present in fashion design today, and it is associated with the emphasis of the body or part of the body for worshiping it. I will present through my own illustrations my personal views of various spectrum of fetishism; ideas, fashion, design. Although the fetishism is mostly tied to women and homosexuals, the story today is quite different which will be visible in my illustrations. Many designers considered it a lifelong inspiration that can never be boring, so since 1970., we can follow different designers such as Vivienne Westwood or Thierry Mugler, who in their collections are using the fetish as an inspiration in creating that provocative effect in society.
