Abstract

Prateći fabulu filmskog mjuzikla Chicago iz 2002. godine, cilj ovog diplomskog rada je istražiti povijest kabareta, odijevanje 20-ih godina 20. stoljeća te pojam mjuzikla. Također, reinterpretirat će se i kostimi mjuzikla, a sama ideja je kroz novoosmišljena kostimska rješenja ispričati već poznatu radnju prožetu dramatikom i ekstravagancom. Naglasak je na sjaju, senzualnosti i glamuru koji prate vremenski period.

Abstract (english)

Following the plot of the 2002 film Chicago, this graduate thesis aims to explore the history of cabaret, 1920s fashion, and the concept of musical. Also, the costumes of the musical will be reinterpreted, and the idea is to tell an already well-known story imbued with drama and extravagance through newly designed costume designs. The emphasis is on the brilliance, sensuality, and glamor that accompany the period.
