Abstract

Diplomski rad kroz temu Modna silueta na prijelazu iz 19. u 20. stoljeće osim uloge korzeta koji je bio neizostavan odjevni predmet u ženskoj garderobi obuhvaća i ostala odjevna ˝pomagala˝ pomoću kojih su žene tog razdoblja nadograđivale tijelo kako bi oblikovale vanjsku figuru u modnu S-siluetu. Silueta se opisuje kroz poglavlja o modi, ulozi žene i korzetu kojima je fokus problema usmjeren prema modnim prikazima kroz fotografije i ilustracije te proučavanju modnog artefakta. U svrhu točnog sagledavanja funkcije između tijela i odjeće u odnosu na modne prikaze s prijelaza stoljeća, sve prikupljene informacije provedene su u praktični dio rada kojim je žensko tijelo nakon više od stoljeća vraćeno u godine kada je korzet bio svakodnevica.

Abstract (english)

The fashion silhouette at the turn of the 19th century thesis explores the role of the corset, which was an indispensable item in the women's wardrobe, as well as other garment accessories which women of that period used to shape their figure in a fashionable S-silhouette. The silhouette is described through the chapters about fashion, the role of women and corsets, focusing on fashion through photography and illustration, and through the studying of fashion artifacts. For the purpose of accurate observation of the function between body and clothing in relation to turn of the century fashion, all the collected information was transferred into the practical part of the work through which the female body is returned, after more than a century, to a time when the corset was a part of everyday life.
