Abstract

Ovaj završni rad istražuje kako su gejše i samuraji, ključne figure japanske kulture, utjecali na suvremeni modni dizajn, s naglaskom na dodavanje modernih elemenata. Uvodni dio daje pregled povijesti i simbolike ovih figura, dok se kasnije analizira njihova estetika i utjecaj na suvremenu modu. Rad istražuje kontrast između elegancije gejša i snage samuraja te kako se ti elementi, zajedno s modernim dizajnerskim pristupima, reflektiraju u krojevima, bojama i teksturama suvremene odjeće. Opisuje se kreativni proces dizajniranja modnih kreacija inspiriranih ovim ikonama, prikazuje kolekcija kroz ilustracije te razmatra utjecaj i primjenu kolekcije u modnoj industriji i javnosti. Zaključuje se naglašavanjem važnosti očuvanja i reinterpretacije japanske tradicije u suvremenom svijetu.

Abstract (english)

This final thesis explores how geishas and samurais, key figures in Japanese culture, have influenced contemporary fashion design, with an emphasis on the integration of modern elements. The introductory part provides an overview of the history and symbolism of these figures, while later sections analyze their aesthetics and impact on contemporary fashion. The thesis examines the contrast between the elegance of geishas and the strength of samurais, and how these elements, combined with modern design approaches, are reflected in the cuts, colors, and textures of contemporary clothing. The creative process of designing fashion creations inspired by these icons is described, the collection is presented through illustrations, and the influence and application of the collection in the fashion industry and public are discussed. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of preserving and reinterpreting Japanese tradition in the modern world.
