Abstract

U završnom radu bavit ću se temom impresionizma i postimpresionizma. Prikazat ću povijesni razvoj razdoblja, glavne umjetnike i njihova djela te njihove zajedničke karakteristike. Također ću se baviti temom autoportreta te odgovoriti na pitanja kada se pojavio prvi autoportret, koja je bila njegova uloga u umjetničkim djelima te kada je postao dio umjetnosti kao takav. U eksperimentalnom dijelu prikazat ću slike autoportreta inspirirane djelima impresionista i postimpresionista s ciljem povezivanja novih umjetnika iz današnjeg razdoblja s onima koji su u vrijeme samih početaka impresionizma i postimpresionizma odlučili započeli nešto sasvim novo i nesvjesno pokrenuli jedne od najbitnijih razdoblja u samoj umjetnosti. Impresionizam je jedan od najvažnijih umjetničkih pokreta koji svoje korijene vuče u 1860-im godinama u Francuskoj. Glavna obilježja ovog razdoblja su slikanje u prirodi, prikaz trenutka i prolaznosti vremena te slikanje kratkim labavim potezima kistom. Postimpresionizam se pojavio kao nastavak impresionizma no odbacio je njegova ograničenja. Postimpresionisti prikazuju trajanje u svojim djelima, a kompozicije nastaju pomoću zakrivljenih linija i optičkih formula.

Abstract (english)

In my final work, I will deal with the theme of Impressionism and Post-impressionism. I will show the historical development of the period, the leading artists and their works, and their common characteristics. I will also deal with the topic of self-portrait and answer the questions about when the first self-portrait appeared, which was his role in the works of art, and when he became part of the art as such. In the experimental part, I will show images of self-portraits inspired by the works of the Impressionists and Postimpressionists with the aim of connecting new artists from today with those who, at the time of the very beginnings of impressionism and post-impressionism, decided to begin something completely new and unknowingly started one of the most important periods in the art itself. Impressionism is one of the most important artistic movements that pulls its roots in the 1860s in France. The main features of this period are painting in nature, a representation of the moment and transience of time, and painting with short loose brush strokes. Post-impressionism appeared as a continuation of impressionism, but he rejected his limitations. Post -impressionists show the duration in their works, and compositions are created using curved lines and optical formulas.
